Priya Tandon

Co-Chair, Global Outreach

Priya is Founder & Chair of Indus Satu Global Foundation, based in both Silicon Valley and Mumbai, India.  She brings two plus decades of successful track record and deep understanding of building bridges between US and India and Israel and their allies. Priya is Board Member of San Francisco- Bangalore Sister City Initiative and is Co-Chair of its SF India focus. She is on the Board of Cross Border Entrepreneurship. She is advisor to Stanford University’s Byers Center for Bio Design and Center for Innovation in Global Health. Priya is recipient of Maharashtra government’s Bharat Nirman Award, for her excellence in social justice especially promoting entrepreneurship amongst women and for gender equity.

Setu has been proactively initiating, hosting, catalyzing, and building on dialog between US and India on start-ups, tech, MedTech, entrepreneurship, innovation and entrepreneurial economy, women-led development and women-empowerment. She has been engaging with thought leaders in the academic, private, and public sector. Additionally, Setu engages with the leaders in the larger Indian diaspora across the various continents and with their key policy makers of their respective countries. Setu under Priya’s leadership has engaged with Australia, Britain, Canada, India, Israel, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Turkey, UAE, and USA.

Priya has worked extensively with Israel and has focused on how the Israel-US model can be harnessed for India-US convergence for startups and entrepreneurial economy. Recently, Priya moderated the discussion at the Start Up Bridge conference held at Stanford University focusing on partnerships between India, US and Israel in the innovation, tech, entrepreneurship, and venture investment space.

Setu co-sponsored the Silicon Valley – Delhi, Healthcare & IT Entrepreneurship & Women Empowerment Mayoral Delegation to India, hosted several conferences at premiere institutions such as at Stanford University and Columbia University and has worked with President Mikhail Gorbachev’s State of the World Forum. Amongst her diverse leadership engagements, Priya spear-headed conference initiated by Indian President Abdul Kalam to address economic disparity and harmony in diversity, sponsored and supported launch of SAARC Conclave for the same, inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Priya was a delegate and speaker for Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad which was led by Ms. Ivanka Trump and was delegate for GES in Turkey under President Obama.
